Roy Adams

PhD Student

Roy is an PhD candidate working with Prof. Ben Marlin. He is interested in the ever increasing application of machine learning to the fields of medicine and ecology and the novel techniques that can come out of such applications. Before joining UMass, he received his BS in Computer Science Engineering from University of California - Davis.

Hamid Dadkhahi

MS Student

Hamid is an ECE PhD Student in the High Dimensional Signal Processing Group and a Computer Science MS student working with Prof. Marlin. His research focuses on cascaded classification for networks of devices.

Gregory Koch

Alumni (University of Toronto)

Gregory was an NSF Research Experience for Undergraduate student working with Prof. Marlin in summer 2012. He joined the University of Toronto CS graduate program after completing his undergraduate degree at Austin College.

Steve Cheng-Xian Li

PhD Student

Steve is a PhD student in the School of Computer science working with Professor Ben Marlin. He is interested in machine learning and its applications. Prior to joining UMass, he received a B.S. in Computer Science and Information Engineering from the National Taiwan University and an M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of California, San Diego.

Annamalai Natarajan

PhD Student

Annamalai is a PhD student in the School of Computer Science. He is broadly interested in probabilistic models, inference in these frameworks and their applications. Prior to coming to UMass, he worked as a research assistant for Ken Norman at the Princeton Computational Memory lab. At Princeton he studied the effects of memory retrieval in humans. He earned a Masters from Colorado State University working with Chuck Anderson on Brain Computer Interface applications.

Esther Ríos López

Esther was a student in the NSF-funded REUMass data science program under Prof. Marlin in summer 2015. Her research focused on investigating the effect of signal noise on structured prediction methods for ECG data analysis. She is a student at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez.

Siddarth Sampangi

Sid completed his MS project on recurrent neural networks with attention for arrhythmia detection under Prof. Marlin. He graduated in spring 2016.
